CORNERBACKS

This is Coach Davis’ first year at Staples after joining the Westport Police Department. He grew up in Madison, CT, where he excelled in both football and baseball at Daniel Hand High School. Coach Davis continued his football career at Springfield College, earning All-Conference honors as a running back.

Bringing a decade of coaching experience to the Wreckers, Coach Davis began his career in 2013 as a wide receivers coach at Bates College. He then served as a graduate assistant, coaching running backs at Springfield College for two years. From 2016 to 2023, Coach Davis was on staff at Daniel Hand High School, where he helped the team earn three state championships. He coached various positions but was most notably the Defensive Coordinator for the past three seasons. In 2023, Coach Davis’s defense set a program record with seven shutout victories, and the Tigers finished with a 12-1 record, ultimately winning the Class M State Championship.
